QUESTIONS?
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the DTV (Destination Thailand Visa)?
A multiple-entry visa designed for long-stay participation in recognized activities such as Muay Thai training.
How long is the DTV valid?
Valid for 5 years. Each entry allows up to 180 days, with the option to extend once for 180 days (subject to Immigration approval). After 180+180 days, you must exit and re-enter while your visa remains valid.
Is the DTV single or multiple entry?
Multiple entry. You may leave and re-enter Thailand during the 5-year validity (no re-entry permit needed while the visa is valid).
Can I work in Thailand on a DTV?
No. The DTV is not a work visa.
What does Kombat Group provide for my application?
Your Official Acceptance/Confirmation Letter (proof of enrollment) plus supporting items commonly requested: company registration, gym/school registration, payment receipt with your details, and authorized signatory ID. If your embassy needs additional documents, tell us: we’ll support where possible.
What else will I need?
Common items include passport biodata page, recent photo, proof of current location, bank evidence of ≥ THB 500,000, and your acceptance letter. Requirements vary by embassy: always check their checklist.
What happens if my DTV application is rejected?
If your DTV is formally rejected due to an issue with our documents, we offer a refund per our policy. Rejections due to missing funds, misrepresentation, ineligibility, or factors outside our control are not refundable. Provide the official refusal letter.
Can I retry at another embassy if I’m rejected?
Yes. We can issue replacement documents (no extra charge). Postal/courier costs, if any, are the applicant’s responsibility.
Is there a minimum training load to keep the DTV?
We don’t impose a class minimum. However, you should continue participating in the activity used for your visa and keep receipts/attendance as proof if asked.
Who can apply?
Applicants typically must be 20+ and enrolled in a recognized activity (e.g., Muay Thai training). Always check your embassy/consulate for local variations.
Do I need to prove income?
You don’t need to show monthly income, but you must show liquid funds of at least THB 500,000 (or equivalent) in a bank account. The bank account doesn't have to be in Thailand.
Can assets (stocks, property, crypto) count toward the THB 500,000 requirement?
No. Embassies generally expect cash in a bank account as proof of funds.
Where do I apply for the DTV?
Apply via the Thai E-Visa/embassy channel responsible for your location. Application from within Thailand is not available; plan to apply from outside Thailand. Note: some embassies may be more strict than others. Do online research on groups/forums before applying.
How long does processing take?
It varies by post. Nearby regional posts can be around 1 week; many Western posts run 2–4 weeks. Apply early.
How can I pay?
Kombat Group's fee can be paid from overseas: PayPal, bank transfer or Wise. In Thailand: cash, card, or Thai QR.
Do you collect the DTV government fee?
No. We accept training + documentation fees only. The DTV fee is paid directly to the Thai authorities/embassy.
I’m a beginner, can I join your courses?
Absolutely. Training is tailored to all levels, from first-timers to fighters. And there is no age limit too!
Is accommodation included?
Depends on the package. We offer Training-Only and Train & Stay (30 to 180-night private rooms) options.
Kombat Group provides training enrollment and an acceptance letter to support DTV applications. We are not an immigration authority and do not provide legal advice. Policies and fees may change - check your local Thai embassy/consulate or Thai E‑Visa portal.
